Daddy?

I've been watching Californication ever since my mother's girlfriend told me the show writers came up with a name for the part of your body that separates your anal hole from your vagina hole, or your balls from your dick if your a guy. There had been long discussions of what this area of the human anatomy might be called. Vaganus! Thank you David Duchovny.

Thankfully the show is really good and hilarious. I think I'm in love with David, he just plays this role so well. I don't know much about David so i don't know how different David is from the character.

The first episode just sucks you in, it's witty and definitely from a males point of view. Which is sort of refreshing because it's not totally revolting, you know. Here is a guy with a daughter who sleeps around with unavailable women because he's still in love with the mother of his child. He takes pills at times and drinks heavily, yet when it comes to his daughter, he is there. That would be the refreshing part. When i learned the premise of the show i figured the daughter was going to be the "teenager who hates dad because he's a loser," but it wasn't like that at all, thus adding more refreshment.

On Monday (labor day) i watched the new episode, and the ending scene of the show really got to me. I found myself longing for a father. It was really weird, since I've never longed to have a father because if you've never experienced the father figure how do you really know what your missing. David, showed me what i was missing and that kind of ate at me. I'm over it now of course i just thought it was interesting that a show could make me feel this way.
